Shumsha Hanif-Cruz, Esq.
Shumsha Hanif-Cruz is a Family Law Attorney with her own practice. She has been practicing since 2004. Shumsha is an active member of the Alameda County Bar Association and volunteers in their legal clinics assisting low income clients.
She is also a member and board member of the Earl Warren Inn of Court, as well as a member of the Women Lawyer's of Alameda County. Shumsha is a Bay Area native and resides with her husband and three children.

Candice’s career trajectory began with her teaching experiences at the University of California, Berkeley, stretching into work with Bay Area Schools, transforming project based learning at High Tech High in San Diego, CA, and most recently as the COO for an aerospace engineering company in Los Angeles, CA. Candice is also the founder of Proportional Plate, where she teaches how to cook, eat, work, play, and live life proportionally - starting by learning how to consciously and sustainably enjoy healthy food. Throughout her years in education and industry she has developed the skills to both manage and meet people where they are to help propel them to accomplish collective goals.
